Sustainable parquet and wood for every interior
Belgiqa: sustainable parquet and wooden interior products
Belgiqa develops and produces sustainable wooden products for interiors, including parquet and veneer. We actively reduce our ecological footprint through thoughtful choices in materials, production and finishing. In doing so, we create high-quality and durable solutions for homes and projects.
Our vision on sustainability
Sustainability for our customers
Healthy indoor climate
Wood is a natural material that contributes to a comfortable indoor climate. Our finishes are selected with a focus on low emissions.
Supporting sustainable living
By choosing wood, you opt for a product with a long lifespan and timeless appearance, helping to avoid frequent replacement and overconsumption.
Allergy- and maintenance-friendly
Unlike some soft floor coverings, a wooden floor retains less dust and allergens. This makes it an interesting choice for people sensitive to, for example, dust mites, while also ensuring easy maintenance.
Conscious material use
We use our raw materials as efficiently as possible and minimise waste.
Oak Nine: giving wood a second life
With the Oak Nine collection, Belgiqa translates circular thinking into a high-quality parquet floor. This floor is made from reclaimed wagon planks that have been intensively used for years in transport and industry.
Each plank carries visible traces of time and use. Cracks, knots and grain patterns are intentionally preserved, giving every floor its unique character. By reusing this wood, we reduce the demand for new raw materials and actively strengthen a circular and sustainable wood chain.
Oak Nine is the ideal floor for those who want to build or renovate consciously, with respect for people and the environment.
Sustainability within our company
Sustainability does not stop at the end product. In our internal operations, we also make targeted and consistent choices that structurally reduce our impact.
Health and safety in production
We work with systems and processes focused on creating a safe and pleasant working environment for our employees.
Employee wellbeing
For us, a sustainable company also means investing in people, their working environment and their development.
Material and process choices
We consistently choose lower-impact solutions, such as adapted adhesives and finishes, and continuously optimise our processes to further reduce that impact.
Energy and residual flows
We maximise the valorisation of wood residues within our production. These are used to heat our buildings, allowing us to make useful use of residual flows and reduce reliance on external energy sources.
Mobility and energy use
We fully commit to electric mobility. Our fleet consists of electric cars and electric forklifts powered by energy generated from our solar panels.
Packaging and logistics
We also take steps in packaging and logistics. We optimise logistics by bundling transport as much as possible and, where feasible, choosing sea freight over air transport. In addition, we are transitioning to packaging materials with a lower impact.
Sustainable market positioning
We develop products that actively support architects and project developers in realising sustainable projects, without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
Healthy indoor air: CARB2 compliance
In the past, formaldehyde was widely used in building materials, posing serious health risks. At Belgiqa, we strictly comply with CARB2 and E1 standards, ensuring our products meet the strictest requirements for low formaldehyde emissions and contribute to a healthier indoor climate.
Supporting LEED certification
Sustainable building goes beyond materials alone. Our products are designed to support LEED-certified projects, a globally recognised symbol of sustainability. The use of Belgiqa products in your project demonstrably contributes to more sustainable and certified buildings by meeting LEED requirements for locally sourced materials, efficient waste management and environmentally responsible production.
FSC®-certified wood on request
At Belgiqa, we work with wood every day. It is the foundation of our craftsmanship and our passion. That is precisely why we consistently and demonstrably take responsibility for nature. Through FSC® (C129924) and PEFC (PEFC/07-32-356) certified chains, we make this responsibility transparent. With our Chain of Custody (CoC), we provide architects and construction partners with verifiable assurance of origin, traceability and responsible forest management.
FAQ Sustainability
Our production is local, energy-efficient and circular. We heat our workshops with wood waste from our own production and charge our electric fleet using solar energy. In this way, we reduce our ecological footprint from workshop to delivery.
